About The Artist

Born in St John's, Newfoundland in 1954 this east coast native has been creating art since childhood. Contest wins, applaud and parental support encouraged him. He attended Kings College boarding school for grade 10 and 11, there he had the use of an extensive art studio to discover and expand his artistic talents.

Jeff says, "I want to do and create as much as I can while I'm here. I am driven to produce." Whether building another successful business, or doing another painting, he enjoys being creative.

This drive has moved him towards using more acrylics, because they’re a little faster, although his favourite medium remains oils, applied with brush or palette knife. Since switching coastlines, Jeff has been quite prolific. A variety of his work decorates his restaurant, "Nautical Nellies" in Victoria, BC, Canada, and from there he has sold to collectors around the world.

Mostly self-taught, and influenced by impressionistic styles, there are no limitations to his self-expression. Colourful, fresh, and thought-provoking are fair descriptions of his work. See for yourself as you tour the gallery...
